Over 200 children from local schools visited Todds Leap in Ballygawley as part of Cash for Kids Superhero Day – in support of Mencap Northern Ireland’s Big Step Forward Campaign.
At the event Todds Leap also launched ‘Superhero Sundays’ – family activity days which will run throughout the summer – giving kids the chance to be a superhero for the day. As part of the on-going partnership with Cash for Kids as their nominated charity, Todds Leap is giving family passes to Cash for Kids which they will distribute to local disadvantaged children and their families.
The superhero-themed fun day had a host of activities including a bungee run, trampolining - and the kids even had a go at being Spiderman on the climbing wall. Teachers and parents were also sponsored to do some death-defying stunts to raise funds for the charity.
Shirley O’Hanlon, Sales and Marketing Coordinator commented: “Our Cash for Kids Superhero Day was a real success and a big thank you goes to all the schools that came along. We’re delighted to launch our ‘Superhero Sundays’ – giving everyone the chance to try out our superhero-themed activities over the summer.”
Stephanie Laverty, Charity Manager from Cash for Kids said: “We’re so excited to be Todds Leap nominated charity. Everything we raise supports local disadvantaged children in Northern Ireland, and we’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone who supported Todds Leap’s Cash for Kids Superhero Day fundraising!”
