NITB Best Visitor Experience 2012
At the NITB awards 2012, Todds Leap collected the prestigious Best Visitor Experience award. We were also commended in the Sales and Marketing category.
This award reflects the hard work carried out in developing the quality of the product and service delivery onsite at Ireland's number 1 activity centre. Significant investment has been made in capital development, staff training and achieving national recognition for the standards in quality and safety. Customer feedback, innovation and a sense of fun form valuable parts of the customer experience at Todds Leap.
Paying tribute to the staff, owner Benny O'Hanlon said "An investment by the company of up to £250,000 accompanied by the recruitment of more staff has already reaped dividends and winning this award is a tribute to all staff at Todds Leap who work tirelessly week in and week out to build the business and give visitors to Todds Leap and Northern Ireland an unforgettable visitor experience.”
Organised by the NITB in partnership with Diageo Northern Ireland, the awards covered 11 categories showcasing the very best in local tourism provision. The glamorous black tie event was held in the Grand Opera House in Belfast, with a display of dance, comedy and music offering a unique take on traditional award ceremonies.
A great night was had by all in attendance, including Tourism Minister Arlene Foster, who said: “Northern Ireland is achieving something tremendously positive as we move through 2012 and into 2013 and beyond. “I congratulate tonight’s winners. They have set the bar high in terms of quality, customer service and the visitor experience they are delivering. I encourage others to follow their lead and make the Northern Ireland tourism industry truly world-class.”
